In this 2nd edition of the Macassar artistic residency, we are proud to present the HESPÉRIDES collection , made by master craftsman Bárbara Turturro , creating three exuberant bodies that are characterized by their rounded and organic shapes through a symbolic exploration of strongly related Greek mythology. with the history of our Canary Islands.

Bárbara Turturro, graduate in Fine Arts (Bologna, 2004), moves between art and design, experimenting for more than 20 years with the introduction of recycled materials in her pieces. In 2022, launch 'Turba de Papel', a project whose objective is to recover the value and potential of recycled paper (paper and documents from Lanzarote consultancies) by transforming this material into a molding mass to give three-dimensional life to not-so-ordinary objects. .
