III Edition of Women in the Arts

The Women in the Arts residency is a gesture of local support for women and non-binary individuals who are temporarily without their own workshop on the island of Lanzarote.

Accommodation

Not included. We hope to be able to include it soon, and our team will be happy to help you find and book accommodation in Lanzarote.

Workshop/Workspace

Access to the use of a workshop space with carpentry tools (ask for more information) , an open space (or audiovisual set area), large storage area, filming and sound recording equipment (ask for more information). Meeting space in the showroom . An office-dining room with microwave, refrigerator, coffee and water. Close access to outdoor spaces in the industrial zone and industrial workshops of metal, aluminum, glass, carpentry, plaster (industrial zone of Tenorio, Arrecife). Reception service during showroom opening hours.

Purchase of materials

Up to €1,000 available for the purchase of materials or external services necessary to carry out the work.

Promotional video

The production company ZIGH.es collaborates free of charge in the pre-production, production and post-production of a promotional video for the artist's project valued at €3,000

ELIGIBILITY

Women in the Arts is open to all artists who identify as women or non-binary individuals worldwide, regardless of education, age, sexual orientation, race or professional stage. With the temporary lack of not having their own workshop space, suitable to develop their next work. For various reasons such as the dimensions of the work itself, lack of tools or financing.

ACCEPTED ART

Plastic arts, crafts, video art and photography . Inappropriate or offensive content or themes will be automatically excluded from the selection process.

CRITERIA TO PARTICIPATE

Send a text dedicated to the motivation of the project and a brief explanation of why you need this workshop space. Each entry must also include a brief biography of the artist, website, email address and location.
